DIScrimination

The Romanian Association of Playback Theater implements the “DIScrimination” project, between 10 – 21 July 2021, in Craiova, identification number 2019-3-RO01-KA105-077937, financed by the European Commission through the ERASMUS + Program, Action K1- Exchange of young people.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT is to inform on a large scale a number of 40 participants from Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Poland, Romania, during 12 days of activities, on topics related to discrimination and inclusion of people with disabilities, equal opportunities in terms of gender difference and active involvement in everyday civic life, especially in terms of the two previous issues. As methods we will use Role-Play, ESPERE®, Debates, Flashmob (involving people with disabilities), Labyrinth Theater, Living Library, Playback Theater.


The objectives of the project are:
- Increasing the awareness regarding the problems faced by young people with motor disabilities, for 40 young people from 5 countries (Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Poland), for a period of 12 days.
- Increasing the degree of involvement in civic life of young people with disabilities, but also of the typical ones for the 40 young people from 5 countries (Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Poland), for a period of 12 days.
- Informing and educating 40 young people from 5 countries on the prevention of gender discrimination, especially regarding disability through non-formal education methods, for a period of 12 days.
- Development of social skills and self-esteem in connection with the issue of gender discrimination and people with disabilities for the 40 young people from 5 countries, involved in the project for 7 months.

Thus, each of the participants will have the opportunity to go through a series of activities and learn several methods to help them form different opinions  about what discrimination means. gender and discrimination against people with motor disabilities.
